The veteran actress expressed her displeasure at Indian paps recently

Jaya Bachchan made a statement at a Mumbai event on Wednesday, arriving with her daughter Shweta Bachchan. The veteran star, decked in a chic white dress and a mask, was immediately surrounded by a flurry of paparazzi.
As photographers scrambled to get their shots, Bachchan paused mid-step, shot a stern look to the side,. Shweta quickly grabbed her hand to guide her along, but the moment was already caught on camera and is now making rounds on Instagram.
In another clip, she didn’t hold back:
“Aap log photo lo, badtameezi mat karo. Chup raho munh band rakho photo lo… khatam. Upar se comments karte rahte ho.” (Take your photos, don't misbehave and keep quiet.)
This isn’t the first time Bachchan has called out the paparazzi. She’s long spoken about her discomfort with being constantly clicked, mentioning that they also provoke her intentionally, to get an 'angry' reaction from her'. On her granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda’s podcast, What The Hell Navya, she said., “What they take and what they put out are two different things… So you have the freedom to do it, what about my freedom?”
The paparazzi culture has been under fire of late, especially after veteran actor Dharmendra was hospitalised, and paps were surrounding his home and hospital. An angry Sunny Deol had lashed out at them, asking to have some shame.
