Dubai: It looks like the much-anticipated Dubai Safari Park is opening its doors to the public soon.

A new video has emerged showing the progress of the ongoing development project, a 119-hectare animal sanctuary that is envisioned to further cement Dubai as a leader in the leisure and parks industry.

The latest video, released by Dubai Media Office on Wednesday, shows new structures already completed, including lakes, landscapes and pavilions.

“The countdown begins,” says Dubai Media Office in its latest tweet.

The Dh1 billion park is expected to be the home of approximately 3,500 animals during the first phase.

The facility had earlier missed its opening date in January this year. It was later announced that the park might start receiving visitors in September.

The park is located in Al Warqa, opposite Dragon Mart.
