J P Morgan hires Al Mesmari as head of investment banking coverage

Dubai: J P Morgan said on Thursday it has appointed Majid Al Mesmari as head of investment banking coverage for the UAE. Majed joins from Rothschild, where he spent more than five years as a Director of Global Financial Advisory. Majed, who will be based in Dubai, will report to Karim Tannir, Head of Investment Banking for the Middle East and North Africa. J P Morgan most recently advised Gulf Capital, Emaar Malls on the IPO and Eithad on its Acquisition of Alitalia.
