Committee launched to implement UAE Strategy
Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Finance and Industry yesterday said it has established a higher committee to supervise the implementation of the UAE's federal strategy.
According to ministerial decree number 104 for 2007 the committee will be chaired by Mohammad Khalfan Bin Kharbash, the Minister of State for Financial and Industrial Affairs, and includes the ministry's undersecretaries and assistants.

"The federal strategy poses considerable responsibilities for all the federal ministries, especially the ministry's, which is responsible for the fiscal and industrial policies related to the economic development of the country," Dr Kharbash said.
The decree stipulated as well the establishment of a working team headed by Khalid Ali Al Boustani, assistant undersecretary for revenues and budget. The committee and the working team enjoy the necessary authorities to communicate with the ministry's employees, and recognise the talents and experiences to better utilise the skillful human resources in implementing the new strategy.
"These meetings are set for the purpose of inaugurating the implementation of an extensive work plan aiming at applying the ministry's strategy and the related programmes, within the ministry's agenda in the framework of the federal plan," he added, explaining that the ministry had set plans for the first phase which includes the introduction of the new agenda to all employees.
