Abu Dhabi: UAE’s flag carrier Etihad Airways is experiencing significant disruptions to its flight schedule, with several services across the Middle East either cancelled or delayed. The airline cited airspace closures and the ongoing regional situation as the primary reasons for the affected flights.

On Friday, June 13, flights were cancelled between Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Tel Aviv (TLV), specifically EY595/EY596, EY593/EY594, and EY597/EY598. Additionally, flight EY590 from Amman (AMM) to Abu Dhabi (AUH) faced an extended delay.

Looking ahead to Friday, June 14, the airline stated that flights EY595/EY596 between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv and EY589 from Abu Dhabi to Amman are currently scheduled to operate but “may be subject to delay.”

In response to the restricted airspace in parts of the Middle East, Etihad is also re-routing several of its flights.

Passengers transiting through Abu Dhabi to connect to cancelled flights will not be permitted to travel from their original departure point.

The airline acknowledged this is a developing situation and anticipates further disruptions and delays over the coming days. The airline said it is actively monitoring airspace and security updates and works closely with relevant authorities.

Impacted passengers are being assisted with alternative travel arrangements.

“The safety of our guests and crew remains our highest priority, and we regret any inconvenience caused,” it said.
