EU ban on liquids in airline hand luggage in place until 2013

Brussels: The European Union will end current restrictions on liquids in air passengers' hand luggage by April 2013, the EU's executive said on Thursday.

"By 29 April 2013 at the latest, all liquids will be allowed in cabin baggage and will be screened," the European Commission said in a statement.

"By that date, the current restrictions on the carriage of liquids in cabin baggage will end," it added.
