The Office of Hajj Affairs for the United Arab Emirates has announced its full readiness and early preparations to deliver the highest standards of service and care to Emirati pilgrims in the Holy Lands. The initiative aims to meet all their needs with dedication, responsibility, and sincerity, in line with the aspirations of the UAE’s wise leadership and the government’s strategic vision of excellence, quality, and adherence to best practices in service delivery.

'Twajudi' service

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that all arrangements have been completed to ensure the well-being of Emirati pilgrims, particularly senior citizens, throughout the Hajj season—from pre-departure preparations, through the performance of the pilgrimage rituals, to their safe return home. As part of this effort, the Ministry has updated the travel advisory pages on its website and mobile application, providing accurate, up-to-date information specific to each destination. Emirati pilgrims are encouraged to register themselves or their family members in the “Twajudi” service via the website, mobile app, or WhatsApp, and to keep the emergency contact number for UAE citizens: +971 800 24, for immediate support when needed.

Recommendation

The Ministry also recommended that all pilgrims carry copies of their official identification documents, to facilitate the issuance of a “Return Document” within 30 minutes in the event of passport loss, damage, or misplacement.

In anticipation of the Hajj season, the Ministry of Health and Prevention has launched a unified public awareness campaign titled “Healthy and Safe Hajj 2025,” in collaboration with health authorities across the UAE. The campaign aims to highlight essential health guidelines that pilgrims should follow before, during, and after the pilgrimage, ensuring their comfort and contributing to their sense of wellbeing and health security.

The awareness campaign includes a variety of services, such as a downloadable multilingual guide available on the Ministry’s website, responses to pilgrims’ health-related enquiries, continuous communication with accompanying medical teams, the provision of medications and medical consultations, as well as psychological and advisory support. These measures are designed to enhance the quality of care and provide a safe and healthy environment for pilgrims.

The campaign also emphasises the importance of receiving key vaccinations prior to travel, including those for meningitis, seasonal influenza, and pneumococcal infections. It promotes awareness around adhering to preventive health measures throughout the Hajj period, such as avoiding injuries, reducing heat stress, and maintaining a healthy and balanced diet to ensure a safe and healthy environment for Emirati pilgrims.

Meanwhile, the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments has announced a comprehensive plan to ensure that UAE pilgrims perform their Hajj rituals with ease and reassurance this year. The plan includes innovative methods to raise awareness about the rites of Hajj and the strengthening of institutional partnerships to provide proactive and integrated services for pilgrims. These efforts are aimed at ensuring a smooth pilgrimage experience and reflecting the UAE’s civilised and forward-thinking approach to the organisation of Hajj affairs.
