Dubai: A Bahraini man has been arrested for physically assaulting two doctors and insulting a police officer at Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC), local media reported.
The patient, who visited the SMC emergency department complaining of abdominal pain, refused to undergo the medical screening and diagnosis procedures. He began yelling and physically assaulting the doctors.
He then insulted a police officer who was at the hospital. The man was then arrested after the public prosecution received a report from the Capital Governorate Police Directorate.
The defendant was interrogated and admitted to the charges. He has been remanded in custody pending investigation and trial.
