Tremor struck around 1:05 pm Wednesday, according to Phivolcs
Manila, Philippines: A magnitude 5.3 earthquake shook Metro Manila and neighbouring provinces in Luzon on Wednesday, triggering evacuations in several places, according to government volcanologists.
The earthquake struck around 1:05 pm (9:05 am UAE), according to Phivolcs. The epicenter has been recorded in Vinzons, Camarines Norte.
There were no immediate reports of damage, or casualties.
Intensity 2 was felt at Quezon City, a suburb of Manila, according to local media reports.
Earlier, a magnitude 2.3 quake also shook Mindoro island shortly Wednesday at 6.48 am local time, Phivolcs report.
