Update
Cochin International Airport has extended suspension of operations to Sunday, 3pm, August 11.
Flight operations at the Cochin International Airport in the Indian state of Kerala will be suspended until midnight (August 8, 2019) due to heavy rains.
A few minutes ago, the airport announced on their official Facebook page: "As a precautionary measure due to heavy rain, the airport operations will be suspended till midnight (08-08-2019). Please cooperate with us. If there's any update, we will let you all know at the earliest."
Twitter users shared updates and pictures of the flood. Tweep @aneeshp posted: "Floods at Kochi. Operations suspended at Kochi airport as precautionary measure. No operations till 12am tonight. Update will be given tomorrow on fresh Operations."
