Sharjah man survives ‘high-rise’ fall

Sharjah: A 37-year-old man has survived a fall from a high-rise in the Al Majaz area of Sharjah, an official at Sharjah Police told Gulf News.

Police said the Filipino man fell from his apartment’s balcony at around 7pm on Friday and was admitted to Kuwaiti Hospital in critical condition. No further information was available on which floor he fell from.

The man was reported to be under the influence of alcohol when he fell from his balcony.

It is not clear whether the man attempted to commit suicide.

The man is currently at the ICU of the hospital and is under constant watch of a police guard. Al Buhairah Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
