Abu Dhabi: The State Security Department of the UAE’s Federal Supreme Court has scheduled March 4, 2025, to deliver its ruling on the appeals filed by the attorney general and the convicted defendants in high-profile case No. 452 of 2023, widely known as the “Justice and Dignity” terrorist organisation case.

The appeals relate to the verdict issued by the Abu Dhabi Federal Court of Appeals – State Security Department, which found 53 defendants guilty of offences linked to their affiliation with the Muslim Brotherhood, along with six corporate entities.

The court imposed penalties ranging from life imprisonment to financial sanctions totalling Dh20 million.

The Public Prosecutor’s appeal challenges a part of the lower court’s decision that dismissed criminal proceedings against 24 defendants accused of providing financial and logistical support to the outlawed Al Islah organisation.
