Fishermen told to use eco-friendly motors

Dubai: The Ministry of Environment and Water has encouraged Emirati fishermen to use echo-friendly motors to cut down on pollution.

The step comes as part of the efforts made by the ministry in contributing to the high quality of marine life and minimising pollution effects.

The ministry also called upon all fishermen to refrain from fishing in areas used by fish to lay eggs, according to the federal law in this respect.
