This year’s edition of Abu Dhabi Through Your Eyes also features categories for films, art and literature
ABU DHABI: A staggering Dh600,000 in prize money is waiting to be won at this year’s Abu Dhabi Through Your Eyes (ADTYE) competition.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, the contest has several new categories such as short films, literature and art.
Short film entries can be made in two categories. The ‘Abu Dhabi: 24 Hours in 24 seconds’ segment requires a visual story in 24 seconds. ‘People of Abu Dhabi’ invites participants to focus on profiles of people who have made an impact. Students can submit their literary or artistic representations in the Art section.
Photography entries
Photography entries can be made in categories like People and Places, Landscape, City and Architecture etc.
Launched in 2008, ADYTE has grown as a prestigious photography competition. It suffered a hiatus of five years before being relaunched in 2016 when it received over 2,000 entries from 83 nationalities.
Rebranding
This year, it has been rebranded as a ‘creative media’ forum, broadening its submission scope beyond just photographs to include short films, writing pieces and art, said Humaid Al Mansoori, director of the Office of Government Communications.
You have until March 13 to submit your entry.
