Two men charged with molesting student

Dubai: A 17-year-old male student was forced to run back home naked after two jobless men allegedly got him drunk and molested him.

Prosecutors charged the two men, H.K., 23, who does not carry personal identification papers, and Yemeni A.A., 19, of molesting and beating the Yemeni student, N.H., after forcing him to drink alcohol.

"No sir, I am not guilty… I did not do that," A.A. said before the Dubai Court of First Instance.

Presiding judge Hamad Abdul Latif Abdul Jawad adjourned the case until H.K. is legally notified to attend the next hearing on May 10.

Prosecutors have accused A.A. of immobilising N.H. while H.K. undressed and molested him.

N.H. testified that he was heading home when he passed the defendants and their friends.

"I had taken a shortcut heading home when someone pushed me from the back. The defendants and three others dragged me by force and put me in the trunk of H.K.'s car. They took me to A.A.'s house, beat me and forced me to drink liquor until I was knocked out… when I regained consciousness after three hours, I was naked. H.K. molested me… then they took me into the washroom to clean up. I washed my face and ran to my home naked," the student claimed.

Prosecution records said N.H.'s parents reported the matter to the police as soon as their son reached home.

An Emirati second lieutenant testified that police arrested H.K. who confessed to his charges when he was shown a video footage of the incident.
