Dubai Police, represented by the Anti-Fraud Centre within the General Department of Criminal Investigation, have arrested a group of individuals involved in promoting fraudulent social media advertisements offering alleged discounts of 30 to 70 percent on traffic fines.

The suspects deceived victims by claiming they could reduce traffic fines through unofficial channels. Their criminal method involved using stolen bank card details to pay the full amount of the victims’ fines. In return, they received half the value of the fines in cash from those seeking the discounts.
