Careless driver in UAE stops on busy road, nearly causes accident – Watch video

Abu Dhabi Police, as part of their ‘#YourComment” initiative, have shared a video of careless drivers changing lanes suddenly, resulting in accidents.

The first part of the clip shows a driver on the right lane of a highway who skips an exit, and swerves right at the last moment, crashing into the pavement.

Another clip shows a driver on the left-most lane of a four-lane road moving to the right even as the exit has almost been crossed. Unable to switch lanes amid heavy traffic, the driver comes to a stop and starts turning right, causing several other vehicles to take evasive action.

Police have urged drivers to avoid sudden swerving or improperly overtaking other vehicles. They stressed the importance of ensuring that the road is clear before overtaking or changing lanes, and not moving recklessly between lanes in a way that endangers the driver. Drivers should also make sure they are in the correct lane when moving to another road.
