Dubai: Several UAE residents using Du services reported internet disruptions on Saturday, with many unable to access applications on their devices.

The telecom operator confirmed a technical issue impacting its internet services and stated that the problem had been "resolved."

Taking to social media X, du stated: "Dear customers, the technical issue has been fixed, and all services have been restored to normal. Thank you for your patience."

Earlier today, several du subscribers reported issues with their home internet connections.

Downdetector.ae, which tracks online disruptions, revealed a spike in Du outages around midday. According to Downdetector there was a surge in user reports around 11:30 am.

The most common issues included 22 per cent of landline internet disruptions, 7 per cent experiencing total blackouts, and others reporting no signal.

Some residents, especially those working from home, faced difficulties completing their tasks, while others experienced issues with both their home internet and mobile phone networks.

In response, Du replied to a customer on their X account: "We are very sorry you are experiencing this. Kindly DM us with more details and your concerned number, and we’ll assist you accordingly."
