Saudi Falcons Racing team member takes title for the second time in three years
Bahrain: Saudi Arabia's Abdul Aziz Al Faisal was officially crowned the new champion of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East at a glittering end-of-season prize giving ceremony in Bahrain.
Al Faisal, who captured the overall Porsche driver's title for the second time in three years, also linked up with Saeed Al Mouri to win the team prize for Saudi Falcons Racing.
Qatar's Sa'adan Al Kuwari was also among the main prize winners, collecting the Michelin Silver Trophy for topping the intermediate class in the Porsche one-make series.
Prize-giving event
German driver Hannes Waimer received the bronze class Mobil 1 Trophy during the event staged at the Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea and Spa on Saturday night. Qatar-based Austrian driver Manfred Ender won the Rookie of the Year prize.
