Jagee John was found dead at her home located in Kuravankonam locality of Thiruvananthapuram on Monday evening.

A host/judge on Malayalam TV show 'Chef Master' on Kaumudi channel, along with other TV projects, the former model was also considered a good singer. Police said the cause of death is yet to be determined.

Jagee was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and studied in England, India and the United States. She lived with her mother at the house the body was found.

She was known for her controversial and outspoken views on the cultural restrictions on women in Kerala. Active on social media, Jagee posted exercise videos, inspirational videos etc.

After an accident when she was around 24 years old, Jagee had been suffering from bouts of amnesia, according to her interviews online. In the accident, her brother and father died while her mother suffered major injuries.

This photo is Jagee's last post on Instagram, from a Christmas celebration she attended. Manorama News reported that it is suspected that she died on Sunday afternoon.

A friend who was trying to contact Jagee alerted the police. She was in her 40s.
