In photos: Arab leaders pay last respects in Kuwait to the late Sheikh Sabah Ahmad Al Sabah

Arab leaders from neighbouring countries have arrived in Kuwait to offer their condolences to the Emir Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, for the passing of the late Emir Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.

Sheikh Nawaf, along with Deputy head of National Guard Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Sabah; speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq Al Ghanim; and Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Sabah received the visitors at the Amiri Terminal.

The Crown Prince of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, arrived in Kuwait on Wednesday to pay his last respects. Prince Salman was joined by the Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Mubarak Al Khailfa, who said he would miss a “big brother and a companion”.

President of Iraq, Barham Salih, and his delegation, also travelled to Kuwait to offer condolences to Sheikh Nawaf.

Abdul Fattih Al Sisi, President of Egypt, and his accompanying delegation, arrived in Kuwait and condoled the passing of the late Emir, Sheikh Sabah.

Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Traiq Al Said, along with his delegation, arrived in Kuwait to offer his condolences to Sheikh Nawaf.

King Abdullah II bin Al Hussain of Jordan and his son, the Crown Prince, paid their respect to Sheikh Nawaf for the passing of the late Emir, Sheikh Sabah. King Abdullah said, “The late Emir has a special place in the hearts of all Jordanians, his absence is a big loss to the nation.”

Saudi representatives arrived in Kuwait to offer their condolences for the passing of the late Emir. The representatives include Dr Mansour bin Met’eb bin Abdulaziz Al Said, Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salam Al Saud and Minister of State, Prince Turki bin Mohammad Al Saud.
