Actor actress and host Nadia Jamil, who is known for dramas such as ‘Meri Jaan’, ‘Raat Chali Hai Jhoom Ke’, ‘Balu Mahi and Behadd’, took time out to not only wish her fans on Independence day but also appraise them of her health. She was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year and has been in therapy for it. She said: “Azaadi Mubarak Pakistan & all Pakistanis! First day of radiation over. Alhamdolillah. Feeling drained,tired,blessed. Life is not meant 2be easy,but peace,love & generosity make it so much easier & keeps one focused on our blessings! Throw out light & it will shine back at you!💚 (sic)”

Star actor Hamza Ali Abbasi tweeted: " Happy Birthday dear Pakistan. May Allah give us all taufeeq (opportunity) to make him the center of our existence and understand his message with all our honesty. May Allah bless Pakistan.”
