New photos from Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal’s Bollywood wedding

It’s been five days since the Bollywood couple tied the knot, but Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif wedding pictures continue to excite fans. The newlyweds released a fresh set of images from their nuptials, this time paying homage to Kaif’s British heritage.

While there was no white wedding gown, Kaif presented a pretty sight in an intricately embroidered lavender and pink-hued Sabyasachi sari, coupled with a delicate veil. Kaushal looked dapper in a silk sherwani, also wearing the same designer who has dressed the couple through their wedding events.

In a post on Instagram, Sabyasachi broke down the looks of the bride and groom. “Katrina Kaif pays tribute to her mother’s British heritage during the pre-wedding festivities. Sabyasachi conceptualised and created a vintage-inspired couture sari with a trailing veil. Silhouetted like a white wedding gown, the pastel tulle sari is embellished with hand-cut English flowers, embroidered by craftswomen from Bengal and liberally sprinkled with semi precious gems and crystals. The ensemble took 40 artisans over 1800 hours to handcraft,” the post read, adding: “The sari is paired with a statement uncut diamond choker detailed with opals and pale Russian emeralds, with matching earrings from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery @sabyasachijewelry.”

Kaif’s stylist, Anaita Shroff Adajania, also broke down the look she was going for to dress up the actress. “Dreams do come true…Sundowner… While planning the looks I really wanted something that reflected the beauty of a white wedding… veil, trail and a bouquet of hand picked flowers. So we added these ideas to the eternal grace of a sari,” she posted, adding: “@sabyasachiofficial created this magical nude floral tulle with the most delicate flowers, that reminded me of flowers we press to dry in our favourite romantic novels.. their fragrance lingering on…Here’s to creating magical memories.”

For those interested in what Kaushal was wearing, Sabyasachi continued: “The groom @vickykaushal09 wears a Bangalore silk embroidered sherwani and matching churidar with Sabyasachi gold plated Bengal Tiger buttons and custom made juttis by @sabyasachiaccessories.”

Kaushal and Kaif tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in Rajasthan on December 9. While the wedding was a low-key affair with only 120 guests, the stars are reportedly hosting a reception for their Bollywood friends in Mumbai soon.
