COVID-19: From Kiara Advani to Varun Dhawan, Bollywood stars go on holiday

After months of cabin fever, brought on by COVID-19 induced travel restrictions, Bollywood stars are finally getting a much-needed break from the monotony of being cooped up. Here’s a look at how they are celebrating their freedom.

‘Rajma Chawal’ actor Amyra Dastur posted a photo of herself in Surat on Wednesday and along with it a poem. In the photo, the actress is seen leaning out of a car and looking at the blue sky, stretching her right hand in the air. Her caption goes: "Under blue skies/Mountains by my side/The wind in my hair/And the earth beneath me/I am one with the universe/My spirit is free.”

Randeep Hooda had the cheer of a little boy when he posted a photo telling his social media followers that he’s has realised his long-standing dream of sighting a leopard in the wild. "On my first outing after lockdown, my long time dream of sighting a #leopard in the wild finally came true on my maiden visit to #Jhalana - a leopard trove within the heart of #Jaipur. Pics and write-up to follow," wrote the actor.

Kiara Advani recently enjoyed a day out in nature, hiking, meditating and just getting back to a peaceful state of mind.

Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif, who had been posting pictures of homebound workouts and household chores, decided to head overseas – she took off to London and finally saw her mum after seven months.

‘Gully Boy’ star Siddhant Chaturvedi posted a monochrome photo of himself on a beach in Goa looking as fit as ever.

Recently, Varun Dhawan took to his Instagram handle to post a few snapshots of his new friend from the Maldives. He posted a picture and a video with a rabbit where he can be seen feeding him a carrot. Sporting a blue and black t-shirt and shorts, Dhawan looks quite excited to be around his ‘new friend’. Sharing the post on Instagram, VD wrote, “Made a new friend 🐰”

The Maldives seem to be Bollywood’s favourite holiday destination at the moment. Taapsee Pannu too travelled to the sunny locales and picturesque beaches to unwind after the long lockdown. Taapsee took off to the Maldives with her sisters Shagun and Evania Pannu earlier this week and has been sharing stunning pictures from her vacation since then. Lisa Haydon was another star who had a beach getaway with her family. Her posts are all about the sun, sea and surfing.

The most recent visitors there are Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi, who have been sharing a number of pictures and videos of the beautiful islands. The couple is accompanied by baby daughter Mehr, and judging by the envy-inducing pictures, seem to be having a relaxed break amid the sun and sand.
