Bollywood: Jahnvi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal walk the ramp for Lakme Fashion Week

The first day of Lakme Fashion Week kicked off in Mumbai on February 11, with Bollywood stars Vicky Kaushal and Janhvi Kapoor walking the ramp at the star-studded affair.

Janhvi Kapoor dazzled everyone at the opening show for Reliance Trends, which presnted 20 years of Lakme Fashion Week Celebrating Gen Next. Dressed in a Rahul Mishra ensemble from the Summer/Resort 2020 collection, the actress stunned in a strapless gown, with intricate motifs.

Sporting new hair extensions, Kapoor walked for Rahul Mishra, her long-time collaborator, who was the designer of choice for her at the Isha Ambani pre-wedding events.

Vicky Kaushal looked dapper in a black and white monochrome outfit, designed by Kunal Rawal.

This is the first time Kaushal and Kapoor have appeared together on a ramp. While Kaushal is awaiting the release of 'Bhoot', Kapoor will soon start filming for the magnum opus, 'Takht'.

Designer Mishra revealed that Kapoor’s outfit had been inspired from a recent holiday in Maldives. “On a recent trip to Soneva Fushi Maldives, as I submerged myself quite literally, into an unfamiliar world, a series of stark realisations dawned upon me. Mesmerised by the million shades of blue, the ever changing abstract shapes made up of a diaspora of fish, the alienesque under-water foliage and the striking corals, it was a mammoth task to register the beauty unfolding before me,” he posted on Instagram.

Janhvi Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal are the first celebrities to walk the ramp for Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2020.

The Bollywood stars are the first of celebrities to walk the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai, which runs until February 16 in Mumabi.
