'Bigg Boss Malayalam 3': Meet the contestants in the Mohanlal-hosted reality show

The third season of ‘Bigg Boss Malayalam’ started on a high note on February 14. Fourteen contestants from different walks of life entered the Bigg Boss house for the reality competition. From comedian Noby Marcose to Odissi dancer Sandhya Manoj, a great mix of talents have entered the house. Adhering to pandemic protocols, all the contestants were in isolation for two weeks and underwent PCR tests before entering the house.

The previous season went on air last year in January with 17 celebrity contestants, before being cut short abruptly a couple of months later due to the pandemic. The second season was an instant success largely due to the outspoken and, at times, controversial behaviour of the contestants. Meet this year’s contestants.

Rithu Manthra is a professional model and singer. Manthra gained attention with her ad shoots for popular brands in India. As per the updates, the model has represented the Indian state of Kerala in the Miss India Pageant in 2018 and grabbed the Miss Talented title.

Dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi is a veteran dubbing artist. She has dubbed for more than 4,000 Malayalam movies. She has also appeared in many films. She is also an acclaimed writer. Bhagyalakshmi was very recently embroiled in a controversy after a man slandered her on YouTube, after which she was filmed hitting and abusing the man in retaliation.

Next contestant is Sandhya Manoj, a Malaysia-based yoga instructor and an Odissi dancer. She is a native of North Paravoor.

Noby Marcose, a stand-up comedian and TV personality, was the first contestant of the third season of Bigg Boss Malayalam.

"I am a very unique person,” said Dimple Bhal, the next contestant of Bigg Boss Malayalam 3. She is a businesswoman, fashionista, stylist and a cancer survivor."

Manikuttan is known for being a TV actor and has even starred in some Malayalam movies, such as ‘Chotta Mumbai’, which starred superstar Mohanlal.

The first Malayalam female DJ, Soorya J Menon is another contestant of the reality show. The actress grabbed attention because of her stark resemblance with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She has also appeared in about 12 films, including Mohanlal's Kandahar

Lekshmi Jayan, a former Indian Idol contestant, has a golden voice that she shares on her Instagram account. Apart from being a singer, she is also a violinist.

Anoop Krishnan is a TV actor best known for his role on the series ‘Seetha Kalyanam’. He has also starred in movies after making his debut in 2013 Mammootty film ‘Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus’.
