UAE National Day 2020: Love Lego blocks? Dubai Parks’ Legoland reopens on December 1

There’s no better place to spend the long weekend celebrating the 49th UAE National Day long weekend than at LEGOLAND and Motiongate Dubai Theme Park!

The park is located on Sheikh Zayed Road opposite the Palm Jebel Ali in Dubai equidistant to Dubai and Abu Dhabi International Airports.

Legoland, the seventh park based on the block-building toy range, is the first one built in the Middle East.

There are 15 million Lego model models at Legoland, made from 60 million Lego bricks. Lego City, one of the themed lands, was built with the younger visitors in mind.

Quite possibly a Lego fan’s dream world, this indoor venue features spectacular giant replicas of iconic buildings including the Burj Al Arab, Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Burj Khalifa. Other structures that will no doubt find favour with the visitor demographic include the Taj Mahal and Great Pyramids of Giza.

Possibly the first permanent theme park aimed at younger children (apart from Modhesh World of course), it has more than 40 Lego-themed rides, shows and attractions, some indoor and some outside.

Here, fans can go on more than 40 rides. Built with the region’s steaming summers in mind, the park’s scaled-down Lego brick monuments and zones to let fans build their own creations are inside an air-conditioned dome.

Children here can fly a plane, steer a boat, drive an electric car or save a “burning building”.

Motiongate Dubai features rides and attractions inspired by Hollywood blockbusters like Ghostbusters, Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, Smurfs and The Hunger Games. The park is spread across five zones, inspired by Hollywood’s live action and animated films, visitors will be transported into the world of movies including Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, Hotel Transylvania, Ghostbusters and much more.

What is a must-see attraction? The Madagascar Mad Pursuit. It is one of the fastest rollercoasters in Dubai. It’s mainly a dark ride and is very fast with many sudden drops. Perfect for those who want an intense thrill.

The park is home to family-friendly restaurants, themed retail outlets as well as multiple kiosks offering light bites and merchandise throughout the park.
