In photos: Why you need to take your kids to Dubai Miracle Garden

Dubai Miracle Garden, the world’s largest natural flower garden, marks its 10th anniversary by welcoming a new attraction that kids are sure to love: The Smurfs Village.

Who are The Smurfs? They are a bunch of tiny blue creatures who live in a community of mushroom-shaped houses in their own harmonious village, as per a famous Belgian comic series that has also spurred a TV series and movies. | Photo for illustrative purposes only.

The Dubai Miracle Garden offering is based on the comics, too: there’s a forest of mushroom houses, play zones and Insta-perfect spots.

The adventure-filled section is divided into Smurf Village, Smurf Activity Area and Smurf Topiaries.

A whole section of the 72,000-square-metre garden will be transformed with special areas and zones so that the visitors can enjoy the colourful flowers and plants.

In the evenings, there are surprise visits by ‘Smurf’ characters and spectacular shows to witness.

Dubai Miracle Garden is known for its trove of floral masterpieces. With displays such as the world’s largest flower arrangement, which takes on the form of Emirates A380, and a stellar assortment of flowers and plants in the form of teddy bear, floating lady, hill top, lake park, it’s sure to charm everyone.

Check out more than 150 million flowers in full bloom at this venue. And then head to the Dubai Butterfly Garden next door, which has ten custom-built domes filled with thousands of butterflies. There are at least 15,000 butterflies from more than 50 varieties to see.
