DUBAI TOPS LIST OF WORLD’S MOST COMPETITIVE JOB MARKETS: Dubai, Doha, and San Francisco are highly competitive job markets, according to a study by Resume.io. Qatar's presence on the list is attributed to hosting the World Cup, with an average of 399 applicants per job posting in February. Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the UAE also attract talent with their lack of income tax. In the US, San Jose and San Francisco, both in northern California, had a high number of applicants per LinkedIn job posting. Layoffs in major tech companies have led to an oversupply of tech employees. Other cities like New York and Chicago were also competitive but didn't make the global top 10.
