Dubai Marina was voted the most Instagrammable superyacht marina by comparethemarket.com recently, based on Instagram data. Taking the crown, the area is known for being a picturesque spot of skyscrapers, blue waters, and swanky restaurants, and it’s no surprise that Dubai Marina received over 3.9m posts on the gram. In second place is the stunning Marina Del Rey (USA), followed by Marina di Porto Cervo (Italy).

The much talked-about observation wheel opened to the public in October and it has turned out to be a huge draw among residents and visitors alike. Offering a 360-degree, panoramic view of Dubai and its skyline, this engineering marvel is yet another addition to Dubai Marina. If you are feeling particularly celebratory this Diwali, head to the island early and enjoy a ride on the world’s tallest observation wheel, Ain Dubai. The fireworks begin to crackle at 8.30pm on November 4.
