Dubai: Booking a taxi in Dubai just got a lot easier. You can now use Whatsapp to book a Hala taxi, without the need to download an app.

Here’s how:

You can pay for your ride with cash, credit/debit cards, or Apple Pay.

You will receive a receipt for your Hala ride, which will appear in the chat at the end of your trip.

Which type of taxis can I book?

The service was launched last week and currently, only taxis that can accommodate a maximum of four passengers are available through the Whatsapp service. If you wish to book a bigger car, you would need to use the Careem app.

If you decide to cancel for any reason, you have a grace period of five minutes. If your Captain is on his way to you and you decide to cancel five minutes after the booking has started, you will be charged a cancellation fee of Dh12. This will be added to your bill as an outstanding balance the next time you book a Hala Taxi.
