Need for more cycling space

The photograph was taken in the Al Majaz area in Sharjah. These children were cycling on the road carelessly and were not even checking for traffic. I watched with horror when their cycles would escape a car closely. Once a child even fell off his cycle.

This is a two-way road and as can be seen in the picture that cars are very close to the children. However, they don’t care about this.

I request the parents to please stop this practice and keep an eye on their children and where they are cycling. They should educate their children to only cycle in the allocated space. I also request the athorities to please make more designated areas for cycling.
