I took this photograph at Al Arouba street in Sharjah while I was waiting for a friend.

While waiting, I saw a security guard cleaning the floor. I was shocked to see that when he finished his job, he put his mops in the uncovered street light.

The mops were completely wet and the wires of the electric pole are clearly visible in the photograph.

Such irresponsible behaviour can cause a serious accident, as this is a very busy area and people often come here with their families.

If, God forbid, a child decided to play with the wet mops and faced an electric shock, who would be responsible for this?

Secondly, why are such street lights uncovered?

As it is located on a main road, I urge the concerned authorities to deal with this issue at the earliest. I also request all security guards to take responsibility for such actions.
