Abandoned bicycles can be dangerous

Gulf News reader P.C Ummer said: “I took this picture of abandoned bicycles near the Tourist Club area in Abu Dhabi. This is not only diminishing the beauty of the city but also of danger to the public, mainly pedestrians. This is a very common issue and I see this every day on different locations. I urge authorities to look into this manner as it is blocking the footpath and making it difficult for pedestrians. It is also posing danger as people might fall and injur themselves while trying to cross these abandoned bicycles.”
