Persian group Dastan Ensemble coming to Dubai

Persian group Dastan Ensemble will perform at Centrepoint Theatre, Ductac on December 4. The concert will be part of Emirates NBD Classics’ fourth season.

Dastan Ensemble was formed in 1991 by Hamid Motebassem and has since toured the world. The group’s members include Hossein Behroozinia, Saeed Farajpouri, Pejman Hadadi and Behnam Samani.

Amit Pateria, managing director of Repertoire Consulting & Production, the organisers behind Emirates NBD Classics, said the event has grown since its inception in 2012.

“This season has been more diverse in terms of performances that included the maestros from the Western, Arab and Indian classical music world,” he said.

The fifth season will commence in March, 2016, he added.
