Concert review: Dilse Dubai keeps south Indian fans entertained

Dilse Dubai, a song and dance event featuring stars from the south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, had a mix of all elements to make one colourful Dubai night on Friday. A host of Telegu singers, actors and dancers including a Jhalak Dikhlaja winner, a TV anchor, a surprise package in India’s original rapper Baba Sehgal and above all the balmy weather, kept the audience engaged for four hours

The event at Wonderland, organised by Gulf Andhra, had its sparkling moments in Suma, the compere who kept the audience entertained and so did dances by actresses Swetha Basu and Swetha Bharadwaj and Dance India Dance finalist Suresh Verma. Hit songs by Sagar, Suneetha, Srikrishna, Deepu, Madhu Priya and comedy skits by Venu and Dhanraj were a treat.

The surprise package of the evening was of course ‘90s rapper Baba Sehgal who electrified the show with his hit numbers form Telugu and Hindi films.
