Lemon lip exfoliator

Chapped lips are a strict no-no and Bollywood star Kajol gets it. Apart from using a lipbalm regularly, the 48-year-old actor advocates the use of a lip exfoliator once every 2-3 days to ensure your lips look the best version of themselves.

To make your own lip exfoliator: Mix together 1-1/2 teaspoon mayonnaise, ¼ teaspoon baking soda and ¼ teaspoon lemon juice until smooth. Gently scrub on lips with a soft toothbrush in a circular motion. The lemon juice acts as a mild peel for your lips and this scrub will slough off dead skin naturally.

Oatmeal exfoliator

Bollywood actor, Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira is known not just for her effortless style but her glowing skin too. In an interview, the mother-of-two revealed that she loves to slough off her dead skin with an oatmeal exfoliator as it’s gentle and effective, perfect for sensitive skin.

The mixture should have the appearance of coarse mud. Apply a good dollop to your skin – body or face – and scrub. If made with oil, this scrub will stay fresh for two weeks in an airtight container at room temperature.

Note: The coffee grounds should be very fine. Put the grounds through a coffee grinder twice, if necessary.
