Former Junoon members get patriotic with new song

Three years ago, on Pakistan’s Republic Day, we saw the late pop icon turned religious exponent Junaid Jamshed come together with two of his former Vital Signs members — Salman Ahmad and Shahi Hasan — for Chaand Sitara.

Now it’s the turn of ex-Junoon members Ali Azmat, Brian O’ Connell, and Salman Ahmad to reunite after a gap of 13 years. They will sing a patriotic song on the eve of the country’s Independence Day (August 14). Their last concert was held in March 2005 in Dubai, UAE. The song, Bataa Teri Raza Kya Hai, is based on Iqbal’s verses. It’s a project of Peek Freans.
