Many stars from the South Korean entertainment industry have distanced themselves from him
Kim Soo-hyun’s absence has sparked curiosity as G-Dragon remakes the classic Telepathy in his upcoming project, Good Day.
The MBC show, which has been garnering major attention, is led by G-Dragon and features a star-studded cast, including Jo Se-ho, Jung Hyung-don, Defconn, Code Kunst, Hwang Jung-min, Lee Soo-hyuk, Im Si-wan, Hwang Kwang-he, Jung Hae-in, Kian84, Hong Jin Kyung, Kim Go Eun, Chef Ahn Sung Jae, and AESPA.
In a preview released just ahead of the 7th episode airing on April 6, G-Dragon revealed the group’s remake track: Telepathy, the 1988 city pop hit by Deux. The fun rhythm quickly captivated the cast, with even the younger members felt the beats. Hong Jin-kyung described it as ‘a work of art,’ while Jung Hyung-don and Defconn couldn’t resist dancing to the beat.
G-Dragon, acting as both producer and director, even infused an impromptu rap, transforming Telepathy into something entirely new. Hwang Kwang Hee was in awe of the result, calling G-Dragon “a true artist.” As the vocal director, G-Dragon gave Hae-in helpful advice, encouraging him to “think like an actor” during his performance.
Despite the excitement, there’s one noticeable absence in the recording sessions—Kim Soo Hyun. While G-Dragon brought together the 88 line of Im Si-wan, Hae-in, and Hwang Kwang Hee, he notably excluded Kim Soo-hyun from the project. This exclusion has raised eyebrows, with speculation surrounding the actor’s ongoing controversy regarding past allegations involving the late actress Kim Sae-ron.
Many South Korean celebrities have distanced themselves from Kim Soo Hyun amid the ongoing controversy, with Im Si-wan unfollowing him on Instagram, as well as An Bo-hyun. Recently, Soo Hyun broke his silence, addressing the scandal for the first time. However, his comments only fueled the controversy further, sparking renewed speculation about his 2017 film Real. Questions have resurfaced about whether his co-star, the late Sulli, was pressured into performing certain scenes, adding a new layer to the ongoing debate.
