Two Filipinas, two crowns, one unforgettable night of global pageant stars
It was a royal night of sorts to remember as the Philippines lit up the global pageant stage — not once, but twice.
On Friday, May 23, Krishan Pauline Alerre and Patricia Anne Nichole Bangug each claimed international crowns in separate competitions, giving Filipinos everywhere reasons to celebrate.
Over in the dazzling finals of Miss Aura International 2025 in Turkey, Krishan Pauline Alerre didn’t just show up — she owned the stage.
From an impressive stage presence to a flawless swimsuit strut, from a stunning evening gown look to a mic-drop moment in the Q&A, Alerre dazzled from start to finish.
In the "intelligence round," she was asked what kind of future a woman might create, referencing the phrase “The future is female.”
Her answer was a mix of heart and power:
"I believe female can be a future and she can create a world where she can empower others; a world driven by empathy, equality and innovation, and a future where purpose guides progress… regardless of gender, they can be a future as long as they have the willingness to create an aura-mazing impact globally.”Krishan Pauline Alerre, Miss Aura International 2025 in Turkey
Yes, she said “aura-mazing” — and yes, we’re impressed.
Later on Instagram, the new queen was still pinching herself:
“Winning Miss Aura International 2025 has me floating on cloud 9!… This crown is not just mine — it’s for everyone. Proud to bring this honour home!”
She now joins fellow Filipina Alexandra Faith Garcia (winner in 2021) in the exclusive club of Aura royalty.
Long live the queen!
Meanwhile, over in Malaysia, another Filipina star was rising.
Patricia Anne Nichole Bangug took home the crown in the inaugural Miss Orient Tourism Global 2025, making history as the pageant’s very first queen.
In the final Q&A round, Bangug channeled her inner ambassador and delivered a message that left everyone inspired:
As Miss Orient Tourism Global, I am not just a representative. I am a movement… I will become a bridge that connects cultures, inspires understanding, and celebrates global unity… The crown is not just a symbol. It is a responsibility, and I am ready to wear it with purpose, power, and passion.Patricia Anne Nichole Bangug, Miss Orient Tourism Global 2025
And just like that, a queen — and a mission — was born.
