Dubai: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is back with a bang!

The first look for the actor’s upcoming film, Dhurandhar, was released on July 6, which also happened to be his 40th birthday. While the movie stars big names like Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal, one face in the trailer stood out – the female lead.

Sara Arjun, a young actress will star opposite Ranveer Singh as the female lead and make her Bollywood debut.

But who is Sara Arjun?

Sara Arjun, is an Indian actress who has been in the film industry ever since she was a child. She began her acting career at the age of 18 months in a commercial.

The daughter of actor Raj Arjun and dance teacher Sanya Arjun, Sara then went on act in several commercials and South Indian films.

One of her biggest roles as a child actor was with South Indian actor, Vikram. Sara played the daughter of Krishna (Vikram), a man with intellectual disability who fights for custody of his young daughter Nila (Sara). The Tamil-language film, Deiva Thirumagal, also starred Anushka Shetty, Amala Paul, Nassar and Santhanam.

Sara also starred in one of the highly grossed film date, Mani Ratnam’s two part period film – Ponniyin Selvan starring Aishwarya Rai, Ravi Mohan, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan and more.

However, the reason for Sara standing out in Dhurandhar is because of her age gap with Ranveer Singh.

The actress, who is currently 20-years-old, is starring as the romantic lead opposite Ranveer Singh who just turned 40-years-old.

While some commented that the age gap might be odd, others mentioned how a big age gap on-screen is not a new concept in the Bollywood industry.

Besides the small “controversy”, fans are excited for the release of the action-thriller. One user commented, “Can’t wait for this one!”

Another user commented, “Your birthday gift to your fans is indeed an amazing one! Love the look. Eagerly waiting for it.”
