Look: From Amr Diab to Balqees Fathi, 7 products made, promoted by Arab celebrities

This week we look at Arab celebrities who have started their own businesses or partnered with global brands on a new range of products.

The Egyptian singer Amr Diab has launched a new fragrance named after himself. He starred in a TV advertisement for a new fragrance “34”. This TV teaser was just one of the many ways that the star is raising awareness of the new release.

Bex Beauty is the name of the make up brand by the Yemeni-Emirati singer Balqees Fathi. It launched at the end of 2020. The collection included a range of foundations, a beauty sponges and an eyeliner.

Another make up collaboration! Lebanese singer Elissa worked with renowned Lebanese makeup artist Bassam Fattouh on an eyeshadow palette called “The Star.” The shadow colours work for both dramatic and simple looks.

The region’s biggest male beauty guru and Dubai based celerbity make-up artist Hindash has announced he will soon be unveiling a collection of his own make up beauty brand soon.

With over 1.7 million YouTube subscribers currently, Hindash started out on the platform back in 2009 as one of the first male beauty gurus from the region. The YouTuber has worked with A-listers including Mona Kattan, supermodels Chanel Iman and Naomi Campbell, as well as other prominent beauty brands within the industry such as MAC Cosmetics

Founded by the former Moroccan singer Bassma Boussel, her signature cosmetics brand Bassma Boussel Cosmetics is renowned for its Moroccan oils and unique skin care minerals into daily use products. Basma also owns a fashion label, Bassma Boussel Designs.

Perfume makes for a popular collaboration for celebrities. The Emirati singer Ahlam Al-Shamsi worked with British label Roja Parfums on a fragrance called “Fit for a Queen.” Which smells like vanilla, rose and musk.

Former Miss Lebanon and actress Nadine Nassib Njeim created a limited edition for MAC Cosmetics Collection, “Mosaic Masterpiece”. She was the face of the collection, which included full coverage lipsticks, shimmering highlighters, pigmented eyeshadows and much more..!
