This year, the international architectural firm Spectrum Architecture will officially open its first branch in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), establishing a regional office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Tentatively scheduled for the second quarter, the expansion marks a significant milestone in the firm’s global growth strategy and reflects its long-term commitment to the Middle Eastern market.

The firm’s headquarter is located in Tbilisi, Georgia, and operates as a multidisciplinary practice with a team of more than 100 professionals, including architects, interior and landscape designers, engineers, visual artists, and graphic designers. The firm delivers a comprehensive, integrated range of services, such as architecture, interior design, landscape design, and construction management, which enables it to position itself as a full-service, one-stop-shop platform capable of managing projects from the pre-concept phase until the very last procurement operations.

Spectrum Architecture brings extensive experience across projects of varying scale and complexity. Its portfolio spans high-rise commercial developments, mixed-use complexes, hospitality projects under famous global brands, and private residences. Across all typologies, the firm combines innovation with adaptability, which ensures design excellence and responding precisely to site conditions, functional requirements, and client objectives.

A deep engagement with cultural context, alongside a strong commitment to sustainability, defines the firm’s architectural signature. Whether operating in Georgia, Africa, the Middle East, or Europe, Spectrum Architecture approaches each project with a holistic sense of responsibility, aiming to produce architecture that authentically reflects local identity while integrating intelligent solutions to reduce environmental impact.

The firm’s design methodology is structured as a rigorous, collaborative, and iterative process. Each project begins with comprehensive research and critical analysis of physical and cultural conditions, alongside with a clear understanding of client aspirations. This research-driven foundation ensures that design decisions are rooted in functional logic, contextual responsiveness, and conceptual clarity, which ultimately result in architecture that is both expressive and technically robust.

Spectrum Architecture has already established a strong presence in the Gulf. Over the past year, the firm has delivered and developed commercial, residential, and hospitality projects across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar. In Saudi Arabia, Double Tree by Hilton in Jeddah is nearing completion and is set to welcome guests in the near future. Another notable hospitality project, Hotel Indigo in Riyadh, will soon grace King Fahad Road. The firm’s major high-rise project in the kingdom, the Eqal Tower, is progressing through the Riyadh Royal Commission (RCRC) to obtain a permit. The tower’s design is inspired by the local architectural traditions and landscape. The project perfectly aligns with the King Salman Charter for Architecture and Urbanism and is poised to become a regional landmark.

Beyond Saudi Arabia, Spectrum Architecture’s regional portfolio includes a wide range of projects in the UAE. Among the most prominent are the Orchard Place in Dubai, characterised by its bold geometric form and contemporary architectural language, and NEXT Coral, a modern residential development in Dubai that responds sensitively to its surrounding environment and urban context. In Qatar, the firm has designed the interiors of Mosavali, the first premium Georgian restaurant in Doha, located at Oasis Mall, where traditional Georgian aesthetics are interpreted through contemporary interior design.

Spectrum Architecture aims to further expand its regional footprint in close collaboration with trusted local partners. The firm seeks to contribute to the unprecedented pace of development across the Gulf, and remains open to partnerships with forward-thinking stakeholders who aspire to realise ambitious projects; architecture that transcends time, responds intelligently to climate and context, and stands as a lasting expression of cultural identity, architectural excellence, and civic aspiration.
