Lebanon exchange dealers fix rate at maximum 2,000 pounds to dollar

Change to come into effect from Wednesday

Beirut: Lebanon’s union of exchange dealers said on Tuesday it had decided to set the rate at a maximum of 2,000 Lebanese pounds to the US dollar in agreement with the central bank governor.

The union said in a statement this would come into effect on Wednesday.
