Etihad has urged passengers traveling to or from London to check the latest flight status

Etihad Airways has cancelled multiple flights to and from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) today, March 21, following a severe power outage that has disrupted operations at the UK’s busiest airport.
The Abu Dhabi-based carrier confirmed the cancellation of the following flights: EY63 (Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow), EY64 (London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi), EY65 (Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow), and EY66 (London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi). Additionally, today’s EY61 service from Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow was forced to divert to Frankfurt Airport (FRA).
Etihad has urged passengers traveling to or from London to check the latest flight status on the airline website and ensure their contact details are updated via the Manage Your Booking section to receive real-time notifications. “The safety of our guests and crew is our number one priority, and we regret any inconvenience caused by this disruption,” the airline said in a statement.
The power outage at Heathrow has caused widespread operational issues, with disruptions expected to extend into the weekend. Other airlines, including Dubai-based Emirates, have also been affected, with flight cancellations and delays impacting passengers traveling through the UK hub.
Passengers flying with Emirates and other carriers are advised to check their flight status and allow extra time for any potential rebooking or alternative travel arrangements.
