Dubai: Emirates flights to and from Mauritius have been facing delays due to the severe impact of Tropical Storm Garance, the airline shared on its website on Thursday.

Several flights scheduled for February 27 have been rescheduled as the storm disrupts travel operations. The affected flights and their revised schedules include EK701 (Dubai to Mauritius), initially set for February 27.

The flight is now delayed by 26 hours 35 minutes and will depart Dubai on February 28 at 5 am local time, arriving in Mauritius at 11.45 am local time on the same day.

The return flight EK702 (Mauritius to Dubai) will depart on February 28 at 11.10 am local time, reaching Dubai at 5.50 pm after a delay of 18 hours and 25 minutes.

Meanwhile, EK703 (Dubai to Mauritius), originally scheduled for February 27, has been delayed by 30 hours and 20 minutes and will now take off on February 28 at 4.20 pm UAE time, landing in Mauritius at 11 pm.

The return flight EK704 (Mauritius to Dubai) has been pushed back by 27 hours 30 minutes and is now set to leave Mauritius on March 1 at 2 am local time, arriving in Dubai at 8.35 am the same day.

Emirates has advised passengers affected by these delays to check their flight status on the Emirates website or contact the airline for further assistance. The airline has also urged travellers to stay updated on potential further disruptions caused by adverse weather conditions.

Mauritius, a popular travel destination, has been grappling with severe weather conditions due to Tropical Storm Garance, prompting authorities to issue warnings and impose temporary travel restrictions.

Additionally, Emirates flights to Munich and Athens have also been facing delays due to workers' strikes.
