W Motors reveals Ghiath Smart Patrol for Dubai Police

W Motors, the UAE-based carmaker, is best known for its outlandish hypercars such as the Lykan HyperSport and Fenyr SuperSport. This week, the brand has released a video showing a large SUV in the familiar Dubai Police livery, complete with all the patrol car trappings.

Dubbed Ghiath Smart Patrol, it is presented as one of the most advanced security vehicles in the world, and is apparently the first W Motors car to be fully produced in the UAE at the company’s Dubai Silicon Oasis facility.

Extra accessories include roof-mounted police lights, flashing lights on the grille and tailgate, and surveillance camera among others.

The Ghiath Smart Patrol is the first product developed under W Motors’ Special Projects Division, a fully integrated unit specialised in delivering mobility solutions focusing on security, defense and smart technologies.

The video description says the Ghiath Smart Patrol is part of a wider security and mobility programme currently being developed by W Motors and Dubai Police. The Ghiath fleet will soon be expanded with further vehicles to be added, it says.

While not much has been divulged regarding the SUV’s underpinnings, it appears to us as being based on the current generation Nissan Patrol.
