These are the cars of the future from CES 2020 in Las Vegas

Chrysler’s Airflow Vision is too outlandish a concept to be anywhere near production. However, the LED exterior lighting and a large blade that appears to span the width of the concept’s front end and other elements could well be incorporated into its future vehicles.

Bosch showed off its driverless electric shuttle bus that is equipped with personal TV screens, a keyless entry system and sensors to check for any personal belongings that have been left behind or even gum on the seat!

Japanese electronics giant Sony surprised everyone by unveiling a concept car of its own called the Vision-S.

Apart from announcing plans to build an entire city, Toyota also brought its LQ Level 4 concept car to CES 2020. The autonomous car has a built-in artificial intelligence assistant of its own.

The AI:ME apparently uses “empathetic” Audi Intelligence Experience technology, and a 3D mixed reality head-up display. Audi says this is its vision of an autonomous, fully connected wellbeing lounge for the mega-cities of tomorrow.

Danish entrepreneur Henrik Fisker is back in the business with a Tesla Model X-rivalling electric SUV, the Fisker Ocean, which could be available by early 2022.

Meanwhile, Byton, a startup electric vehicle manufacturer based in China, is after a share of the electric SUV pie with its M-Byte, which is set to go on sale in the US as soon as next year.

Honda says its Augmented Driving Concept will help with effecting the cultural transition to autonomous vehicles by offering drivers the choice between taking full control or allowing the car to drive itself.

The electric MetroSnap vehicle, developed jointly Osram and Rinspeed, has a unique swapping system that allows its chassis, known as a “skateboard,” to connect to two different body types or “pods.”

Hyundai's S-A1 electric Urban Air Mobility concept vehicle was arguably one of the talking points of the show. Hyundai announced that it has entered a partnership with ride-hailing firm Uber to manufacture flying taxis.

The Nissan Ariya Concept, which combines Nissan’s advanced technologies on an all-new EV platform, is making its North American debut at the CES 2020.

Mercedes-Benz's new concept car draws inspiration from the 2009 film Avatar. Dubbed AVTR, it is covered in scales, which Mercedes-Benz calls “bionic flaps”.

Fiat has brought its Centoventi modular concept car, first seen at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, to the CES 2020. The name means “120” in Italian, signifying Fiat’s 120 years in the auto business.
