Dubai: The UAE Ministry of Community Development is celebrating Zayed Humanitarian Day, which falls on the 19th day of every Ramadan. As part of the observance, the UAE ministry is delivering assistance to eligible needy families under the initiative ‘Our Good Deeds for Our Families’, and also supporting People of Determination Centres across the UAE.

The ministry also honoured the staff, including office boys, drivers, cleaners and guards working in the ministry, on the occasion of Zayed Humanitarian Day. Earlier, the ministry fulfilled the wishes of 12 orphan children as part of ‘Fi Al Shoufa’ initiative that was organised to celebrate Orphan Day in the Islamic world.

The ‘Our Good Deeds for Our Families’ initiative implemented by the Non-Benefit Public Associations Department at the ministry provided assistance to more than 1,695 beneficiaries. Beginning this year and until April 2021, the number of beneficiaries of this initiative reached 890, while the initiative is also expected to cover more than 1,390 people during Ramadan.
