Abu Dhabi: Sections of a number of key roads in Abu Dhabi will be partially closed over this weekend, transport authorities have announced.
The Department of Municipalities and Transport’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) announced that sections of the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road will be closed over the weekend. Specifically, two left lanes on the road towards Maqta Bridge in the inbound direction to Abu Dhabi city will be closed from 11pm today to 6am on Sunday, June 20.
There will also be a partial road closure on Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Truck Road. A right lane in the inbound direction towards Abu Dhabi city, near the Al Ramz Adnoc service station and Medline Medical Centre, will be closed from 10pm today until 5am on Sunday, June 20.
Sections of Mawgab Street in the city — specifically the link with Khaleej Al Arabi Street, close to Rosewood Nursery and the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, will be partially closed over the weekend. The right lane will be closed in both directions from 11pm today until 1am on Saturday, June 19. The left lanes in both directions will then be closed, from 1m on Saturday, until 6am on Sunday, June 20.

The ITC also announced the opening on new signalised intersections on Yas Island. Traffic signals will become operational at two intersections on Al Maha Street near Water’s Edge from Friday, June 18 onwards.
Authorities have urged motorists to drive carefully and to abide by all traffic regulations.
